Every Highland business is required to get a business license and renew it annually. Click here to download an application. Complete and mail it along with the appropriate fee to the Office of the Clerk-Treasurer, Town Hall, 3333 Ridge Road, Highland, IN 46322 or place in the drop box. Make checks payable to the Town of Highland and please include a contact phone number. The Clerk-Treasurer’s office will mail the new license directly to you. Please allow a few days for processing.
All dogs and cats that call Highland home need a license. Registerting is a one-stop process that begins and ends at the Clerk-Treasurer's office, 3333 Ridge Road. Information needed includes: pet name, breed, sex, color, spay/neuter, vet and rabies info. A small fee applies. Click here for fee schedule. Owners will be given a tag the pet is required to wear. Each year the town reunites seeral pets with their owners through the pet licensing program.
You will need to apply for a ACTIVITY EMITING NOISE APPLICATION, if you are planning an event in which the activity emits noise regulated by Chapter 9.07 of the Highland Municipal Code that would constitute an unreasonalbe hardship, and that the adverse impact on the health, safety and welfare of persons affected by the permit are outweighed by such hardship.
