DID YOU KNOW?

Warren J. Elementary School is located in the southernmost section of Highland in the neighborhood known as Lakeside. Opened in 1970, Warren Elementary would be the last new elementary school built in town.

Warren Elementary was built to accommodate what was then a new style of teaching. Viewed from above, the elementary school appears as a three-leafed clover flanked by soccer fields, green space and parking. Each of the “leaves” represents a teaching pod – one each for early, middle and upper elementary grades. Warren was the first and only town school built specifically to support the team-style approach to elementary education.
