Come home to Highland!
HIGHLAND PHOTO GALLERY
JULY 4 FESTIVITIES: Puffy white clouds against a back-drop of azure blue along with picture-perfect temperatures helped make for a festive and joyous Independence Day holiday in Highland. More than 100,000 revelers feasted on fresh ears of warm, buttered corn, hot dogs, hamburgers, Shish Kabobs hot off the grill, elephant ears, funnel cakes and icy cold lemonade during the extended holiday weekend.
ALL-AMERICAN MILE: The All-American Mile is a race that is short enough to attract entire families yet challenging enough to attract some of the region’s elite distance runners. It’s a wild sprint of 5,280 feet that attracts hundreds of racers who line up at the School Administration Building, wait for the starting gun and make a mad dash for Main Square Park and bragging rights for the next year.
